Partners in Ministry

Episcopal Community Services and the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego have a long history of working together to bring positive social change to the lives of the most vulnerable members of our San Diego community.  Working hand in hand, ECS, parish partners throughout the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego, and other partners in ministry will continue to work toward creating a more equitable and just society by learning, praying, and taking action to respond to our communities most pressing challenges. 

Mission for the ECS Partners in Ministry Program:

  • Respond to Gospel message of love in action; allowing participants to grow in love of God and neighbor though meaningful opportunities of encounter with ECS clients and ECS staff. Exercise solidarity with clients and communities served by ECS ​

  • Examine the social, cultural, and political pressures that perpetuate cycles of poverty and oppression, and be active participants in transforming our community ​

  • Bring parishioners from across the diocese together in joyful service and chances for encounter ​
